Lazy Mom’s Craft for Valentine’s Day

I love making artwork that captures handprints and footprints but you saw how great my last craft with Thomas went. I was a bit leary to try something similar again but I decided to just bite the bullet and go for it. Thankfully I have my trusty Pinterest board to rely on in times like these. I needed something 1) easy 2) beginner level 3) QUICK!!!  4) minimal clean up so basically nothing that required much effort. I just don’t have much effort for effort… I get an F for effort as in “Eff” this! Haha.

This craft that I chose has been pinned since Thomas was born yet I kept forgetting to try it out with him. It’s not very original or super unique as probably every parent has done this craft with their children already, but it’s original and super unique to OUR house and that is all that matters! Plus it fit all 4 of my craft criteria!

Thomas seemed excited to be doing something fun today! It helped that Daddy was standing behind me with the camera acting silly too.

I explained what we were going to do and let Thomas “practice” making his footprints.

Then we got down to business and Thomas got to give the final approval when we were done! He thought it looked great and so did I! Then we had some fun playing and goofing around because Thomas loves when Mommy acts silly!

When we were all done and ready to clean up so Mommy could do the rest of the painting, Thomas gave me a “high five” since we made such a great crafting team!

And here is our finished project! I thought it turned out really cute!

We used the following products from Target’s art section to make our craft today if you would like to try it out yourself! *Disclaimer…these are links to Target affiliate program. Clicking and purchasing will pay a commission to our blog*

  3. This is the best because I love easy crafts!! I think this is perfect for a little one. My oldest foot is almost as big as mine!
